Aubree has officially been selected to the 2011 Girls Surf Select National Team! She departs this weekend for Salou, Spain, where she’ll join some of the top 2011 Surf players in the nation to compete against some of the strongest 2011 women’s teams in the world.
One of the marquee matchups? Aubree will take the field against 8-time UEFA Women’s Champions League winners Olympique Lyon. This is an incredible opportunity and challenge for any young player.

They entered the tournament missing five starters due to injury, but that didn’t stop them from winning games and making it all the way to the final. We brought up two 2008s and four 2009s who had never trained with the team, and those younger players stepped up in a huge way. We’re so thankful for their effort, composure, and willingness to compete this weekend. ππ₯
We fell short in the final, not because we were outplayed, but because we didn’t finish our chances. That’s how the game goes sometimes. Credit to the other team. They were quality, they finished their opportunities, and they earned the win. π
